My Skills
WordPress
Most of my work for DRwebdesign is done within WordPress and therefore I have become an expert at WordPress and our preferred page-builder Elementor. We build our websites using the Elementor Hello theme alongside the Crocoblock plugin stack. I have also gained a lot of experience in website optimisation, using CDN's, minification, deferring and preloading to reach the highest possible speeds on a conventionally rather slow tech stack. Through various more advanced projects I have worked on, I am also able to write custom PHP code to achieve almost any desired result.
SEO
When you make websites, SEO often comes into play. At our company I have done most of the Search Engine Optimisation, both technical and a little bit of copywriting. On our WordPress site I have gained experience properly using RankMath to achieve some good results in the Google rankings. Most of my writing experience comes from the DRwebdesign blog, where I wrote most of the articles.
Google Analytics
Tracking data is key to optimizing a website and therefore I have gained experience using and installing Google Analytics and Google Search Console on websites. We often send this data to our customers to update them on the situation of their website. I have used Google Data Studio to easily create good reports with the most valuable information, rather than sharing the sometimes extensive Google Analytics dashboard with a customer.
A bit more about myself
I am a 20 year old student from the Netherlands, currently in the 2nd year of my Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. In student life, I am a member of the board of RSM Student Representation and current Honours student in RSM's Honours Programme. Through a special partnership between the faculty and Peking University, I have been selected as a top student to participate in PKU's "Future Leaders" program next year, where I will be studying for two years in Beijing, China. After completing those two years succesfully, I will have obtained both my RSM and PKU degree.
I am the co-founder of DRwebdesign, a web development/design agency I started together with a friend already more than 3 years ago. I have learnt a great of about web development and business through this company, giving me invaluable life lessons. Through DRwebdesign, I have also been able to work with a lot of different people, each with their own ideas, and occasionally we would join in as co-founders. One such example is Enjoy2Learn, a platform that brings makes all sorts of workshops easily accesible to schools.
I am always eager to learn more about different fields. My current interest is mainly in the field of accounting / finance, as I am eager to take on a financial controller/CFO role in the future. As part of this goal, I am in charge of all financial matters at DRwebdesign and Enjoy2Learn. Besides, I work as part-time (learning-as-we-go) CFO at Dartroom, my brother's company.
